The Middle East’s leading distributors of consumer technology products are exhibiting at next month’s DISTREE Middle East channel event in Abu Dhabi. The unique ‘trade only’ event gives distributors unparalleled access to senior buyers and top executives from the region’s most influential retailers and e-tailers.
Each distributor sets up a series of pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with buyers, giving them a powerful platform to showcase their vendor portfolio and outline their retail channel strategy for 2016. Al Hosani is one of dozens of top distributors already signed up to exhibit at this year’s event.
Ryad Santouh, managing partner at Al Hosani, said: “We hold Middle East and Africa distribution rights a number of top selling global brands such as Eblue, Kaspersky Lab, Wacom, Parallels, Abbyy, Venom, Bigben and Corel. We provide technical support, vendor promotions and special offers, stock rotation, staff training and good margins to the retailers.”
“DISTREE Middle East is a great opportunity to network with existing customers. We have been in the retail distribution business for 16 years and know most of the key players in the region,” he added. “At DISTREE Middle East we can introduce new brands we carry such as Wacom graphics tablets. We can also secure business with new customers and find new partnerships.”
Al Hosani is keen to expand its business in Saudi Arabia in 2016 and sign up additional in-country retailers such as Panda and eXtra. Al Hosani reckons there are compelling reasons for retailers to source product from them.
“We probably have the highest stock sellout figures for the brands we carry and unparalleled customer support,” explained Santouh. “We have structured retail channel programmes approved and supported by our vendors and we offer strong margin proposition.”
“Our 16 years of successful distribution to retailers such as Carrefour Middle East, Lulu Middle East and Jarir Bookstores gives us great experience of serving the best and most demanding retail partners,” he continued.
Al Hosani does regular in-store promotions giving consumers the chance to win some great prizes including luxury cars and even a kilo of gold. Even amidst a challenging market scenario in 2015, Al Hosani continued to perform well.
“Last year was not the easiest year to do business, but we did not reduce our turnover with major retailers - and with some of them it was moderate growth,” explained Santouh. “In December 2015 we signed a distribution agreement with Wacom Germany, which produces bestselling graphics tablets and we expect to deliver this product line to the major retailers in the Middle East.”
Al Hosani’s sales climbed 10% overall in 2015. The company remains fully committed to providing top products with the best possible service support to retailers in the Middle East.
“We want to thank everybody who has supported us during the last 16 years. We will look to further improve our customer services and product offering. For new partners we suggest they try doing business with us and we will do our best to make them happy,” Santouh concluded.
Retailers and e-tailers attending DISTREE Middle East can request meetings with the Al Hosani team through their web account.
